Would high impact practices have high impacts on international students in U.S. research universities?

Abstract

 Presenter (s) Shinji Katsumoto

This study aims to examine the relationship between high impact practices and learning outcomes among international students in large research universities in the U.S. The results imply that most relationships between HIPs and outcomes (GPA, sense of belonging, and academic satisfaction) are not significantly positive. Also, the possible effects of the HIPs did not vary between international students’ racial categories.
